This fine Nintendo Update Thursday (N.U.T. for short) brings us the digital release of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. Featuring 30 remastered missions from Resident Evil 4 and 5, this title is the first in the series to make its way to the 3DS, and as such features full 3D graphics, and online co-op play. It also utilizes a character customization feature not featured in other RE games. Other releases on Nintendo consoles this week:
Kersploosh! (3DS eShop, $2.99) Send your stone plummeting down a well in this test of skill, artfully dodging obstacles in your race to the bottom.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity – Demo Version (3DS eShop, free) Explore the Mystery Dungeons as one of five Pokémon, enlisting the help of others as you rescue your fellow Pokémon friends from the evil forces threatening Pokémon Paradise. Featuring up to four co-op players, the full retail version is also available both digitally and physically.
Wrecking Crew (3DS Virtual Console, $4.99) Originally released in 1985, this game starred Mario and Luigi as the titular wrecking crew, players set out to destroy public property in the name of puzzle solving.
ATV Wild Ride 3D (3DS eShop, $7.99) This ATV racer has 24 tracks spanning the worldwide over, with modes World Tour, Quick Race, Freestyle, and Time Trial, and a full four player experience either locally on or on WiFi.
THE KING OF FIGHTERS '98 (Wii Virtual Console, 900 Wii Points) This blast from the past is the fifth installment in the King of Fighters series and features a full roster of 38 characters and the return of Sports Team.
Nano Assault EX (3DS eShop, $14.99) This shooter, based on the retail version of Nano Assault, adds an all-new survivor mode, online rankings, Circle Pad Pro support, updated graphics, and more.
Monster High: Skultimate Roller Maze (3DS eShop, $29.99) Available digitally March 13, this game features characters from the Monster High series racing and skating through the maze of their local high school, collecting power ups and using their unique abilities to aid them along the way.
Also on sale in the 3DS eShop this week is Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword, now available for $4.99.
