Hey! We covered the Zelda-Styled roguelike Delver’s Drop when the project was first announced and now, 7 days until the crowdfunding drive is about to end, it’s finally reached enough of a backing in order to finally be released!
Great! Hopefully it’ll turn out to be a really enjoyable game! It looks interesting enough to justify giving a small bit of money to bring about. If you’re interested in games that use a zelda asthetic, contain total randomisation in level structure and use non-standard approaches to physics for the potential of untold amounts of chaos, then maybe Delver’s Drop is for you. Think about donating $15 so you get your own copy or more if you’re so inclined and own your own money tree that gives off cash in the form of amazon payments.
Also, share some of the seeds from that tree with me. I haven’t backed this yet and would like to.
Since initally crossing the line from possibility to certainty, it’s gone $7,500 over the requested $75,000 and is close to the next stretch goal at $85,000 of a Linux port quicker than would otherwise be possible, on top of the already planned release for PC, Mac, iOS, Android and OUYA.
If in the next week backers can bump the project up to $100,000 raised then there’ll be a character class added and an entirely new area with unique content! Maybe you want that!
There’s other stretch goals but they’re listed on the Kickstarter page you should check out and see if you’re interested in funding it yourself!
