Playtonic’s colorful 3D platformer, Yooka-Laylee has just launched on Nintendo’s hybrid console, the Switch.
While the game did release earlier this year for PS4, Xbox One and PC, Playtonic took some extra time back to add some extra stuff for the Switch edition. Some of the notable additions include single-JoyCon play across all eight multiplayer games, a custom Achievement system, and of course, the consoles biggest selling point – portability.
‘Players can expect a quality experience both on and away from the television and on top of that, Switch players will benefit from the huge list of updates we’ve added since launch such as a brand new camera mode, control improvements, menu options, music… and a lot more!’
The game runs at 900p docked, and 630p in handheld mode. When it comes to frame-rate, the game runs at 30FPS, similar to Xbox One and PS4. Digital Foundry found that handheld mode runs slightly smoother than docked. If you digged Super Mario Galaxy and the most recently released Super Mario Oddyseey then this is definitely a title you’ll want to get your hands on.
This game is available right now on PS4, Xbox One, PC and of course, Switch.
