In a press release today, Deep Silver announced details concerning two DLC packs available for players who pre-order Dead Island Riptide.
The first pack, titled The Survivor Pack, provides the player with extra boosts to help during the game, including an xp/stats booster, a digital strategy map, and a shop with discounts.
The pack also includes access to an exclusive item. The BBQ Blade is a sharp sword where the player can "add in some workbench-modifying and hook it up to a few fuel tanks to bring some heat to a zombie’s heart."

The DLC can also be purchased individually with the release of Dead Island Riptide. The Survivor Pack will be available for 400 Microsoft Points or for $4.99 on PlayStation Store and Steam. The Fashion Victim for 160 Microsoft Points or for $1.99.
Dead Island Riptide is set to be released on April 23, 2013 in North America.
