Activision recently announced that they had acquired the rights to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and would be making a trilogy of games based on the popular property.
Now the news has become even more concrete, as a trailer surfaced today that confirmed the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of Shadows for this summer on Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and PC.
According to Digital Spy, the game will be developed by Red Fly Studio, the company behind Thor: God of Thunder and Wii ports of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.
The game will feature four-player co-op, where you will get to play as one of the four ninja turtles as they attempt to defeat the Foot Clan.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have recently seen an increase in popularity thanks to a new cartoon, and the controversy surrounding Michael Bay's adaptation. Plus, the nostalgia factor of the series can never be replaced. Interested in a video game ripped right out of your childhood? Watch the video below and sound off in the comments.
