New Details Revealed About Sacred Citadel

New details in a press release from Deep Silver depict how players will be able to level up characters and combine weapons in their new title Sacred Citadel.

The new stand alone title in the Sacred series has many role-playing elements that promise to add more depth to this brawler. 

For example, players can battle with up to three characters out of four, and level them up by having them acquire new skills and weapons. There are many weapons that players can pick up throughout the game, and they can be upgraded in many different ways based on players' preference. 

Players can also pick up other items that can bolster their character's stats.

The game also features a co-op mode that allows up to three friends to play the characters in your party.

Players can pick up a number of characters, including the Safiri Warrior, the Ancarian Ranger, the Khukuri Shaman, and an unrevealed secret character, each with a different skill set.

Sacred Citadel will act as a prequel to the next sequel in the series. It will be released sometime in 2013 for Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, although a release date and pricing details have not yet been announced.
