The old saying goes: "When you fall down, get back up." This seems to be Zynga's new motto, and considering the financial problems the studio has been having, it should be.
For example, some of the original founders behind Zynga Boston have started a new studio called Proletariat Inc, promising to focus on mobile games, according to a press release.
Many of the staff members behind the company are industry veterans from many big studios in the area, including Harmonix, Turbine, and Insomniac. The former Zynga members were some of the team members behind Indiana Jones Adventure World. Despite all of this, the team remains small, with only five members listed on their website.
"We have all known each other and worked with one another for so long that we’ve developed an organic way of making games together,” says CEO Seth Sivak. “We all want to make successful games, both creatively and as a business. This team has been on both sides and knows how to find that balance."
Their first title, Letter Rush, is set to be released on iOS devices next week. The game is an "innovative arcade-spin" on the word-find mechanic, and features both single and multiplayer. Not much is known about it, but their website promises more details coming soon.
