Sony has spent much of its time showcasing the multiplayer component of the upcoming God of War: Ascension, but that isn't to say that the game's single-player campaign won't get much love. As the game's most important element, it would appear that Sony's just been saving the best for last.
Today, Sony has released a new trailer which reveals how Kratos became the man (or god) that he is, before he was tricked into destroying all that he loved and cared about. Set as a prequel to the first God of War game, the trailer features a much younger Kratos before he became a man with nothing to lose.

To coincide with the release of the trailer, Sony is also putting out the single-player demo, which is expected to contain at least half an hour of content. The demo will be available on Sony's PlayStation Network for the PS3.
The game will be out on March 12 for the PlayStation 3, which is just two weeks away, so get your wallet ready for Kratos's final adventure on the PS3. If the game should be a success, there's little reason to think he won't be returning for the next generation.
