February 22, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

The PC version of Tomb Raider will offer a number of visual improvements over its console counterparts.

Tomb Raider

Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have revealed the specs you'll need to get Tomb Raider up and running on the PC, with recommendations for the game's minimum requirements and high-end set ups.

Tomb Raider, which is set for release on the PC simultaneously with its console counterparts, carries a wide variety of enhancements on the PC version. These include tessellation, SSAO, high resolution textures, high quality shadows, post-filter effects, and mouse and keyboard support.

Players with the minimum specs will be able to play the game with most of the settings turned down, and those with better rigs can make full use of its PC-specific enhancements.

In general, the PC version of Tomb Raider comes with native support for Steamworks to offer cloud storage, multiplayer matchmaking, achievements, and automatic updates. It also supports Steam's Big Picture Mode, so you can play it entirely with a controller.
