We've known for awhile that Battlefield 4 is in development, and today, GameStop CEO J Paul Raines basically confirmed that the game is well along the way to being released.
"Got to see Battlefield 4 today and all I can say is wow," wrote Raines on the official GameStop twitter account. "Thanks EA for the sneak pee. Can't wait for you all to see it."
The tweet was retweeted by EA's own Battlefield account, suggesting that the publisher may be well on its way towards making a formal announcement of the game. The game's existence was accidentally leaked late last year when EA put up a notice to say that Medal of Honor: Warfighter players would gain early access to the closed beta of Battlefield 4.
Until now, the game's development was mostly a matter of speculation, but the GameStop CEO's tweet confirms that EA is confident in showing off the game.
We'll report on further details about Battlefield 4 when the information becomes available. In the meantime, there's always Battlefield 3 to play.
