This week's PlayStation Update comes with the release of Crysis 3 as a day-one digital release. It's also the only full title on the platform out this week. It's followed by smaller releases like Urban Trial Freestyle, Capcom's Arcade Cabinet, and a host of DLC for games already out.
The biggest DLC release in the update is the Tyranny of King Washington for Assassin's Creed 3, an alternate history in which George Washington proclaimed himself the King of America. It's up to Connor to put an end to his evil reign and make everything right in the land.
The Hearthfire expansion for Skyrim is now also available for the PS3 version of the game. Players will be able to build their own house in the game in one of the few pre-set locations, and adopt children to enliven the place. The remaining expansion, Dawnguard, will be out on the service next week.
Other DLC releases are also available for Dead or Alive 5, DmC: Devil May Cry, Dust 514, Guardians of Middle Earth, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet Karting, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and Resident Evil 6.
Beyond PS3 titles, the update also makes available several PSP titles for the PS Vita, including Patapon 3, Generation of Chaos: Pandora's Reflection, and Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi. Previously, the games were only available on UMD for the PSP.
