Nintendo plans to host another one of its Nintendo Direct press conferences tomorrow to unveil its plans for the 3DS handheld and the recently released Wii U console, with new games for both platforms.
The Japanese publisher's last conference unveiled their plans to release new Mario games, a new Yoshi game in yarn, a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker, an undisclosed next-generation Legend of Zelda title, Bayonetta 2, and a new RPG from the makers of Xenoblade Chronicles.
Given the previous Nintendo Direct, we can expect the publisher to make announcements for both first party titles from Nintendo themselves, as well as third party titles from other studios working closely with the publisher.
Due to the apparent barrenness of the games available on the Nintendo Wii U at the moment, we expect Nintendo to place a heavy focus on bringing new titles and rekindling interest for the platform. Nintendo has plenty of franchises which have yet to grace either the 3DS or the Wii U, including Metroid, Kirby, and Donkey Kong—so we can at least expect one of them to show up.
The Nintendo Direct session is slated to take place on tomorrow, February 14, at 6AM PST/9AM EST. We'll be bringing you updates from the event as it happens.
