Today's the day of Dragonborn's North American release on the PlayStation 3, and many gamers, enthusiastic about the Skyrim DLC are complaining that they are unable to find it on the PlayStation Network.
The Dragonborn DLC, along with Hearthfire and Dawnguard before it, have been a long time coming on the PlayStation 3. Despite their earlier availability on both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game, PS3 owners of the game have had to wait until now for their release. To that end, Bethesda is offering a 50% discount during the first week of their release, with Dragonborn going for $10 upon its release later today.
It's a little known fact that Sony takes its time to update the store, which should go live around noon PST—or two hours from now. So worry not, It'll be up today—assuming the update goes live on time.
In anticipation of Dragonborn's release, I suggest adding the appropriate amount of money ($10) from your credit card or PayPal account to your wallet on PSN ahead of the store update. You should do this in case the PSN billing server decides to break, as it sometimes does during busy release days.
The Skyrim 1.8 title update was released on the PlayStation Network yesterday in anticipation of the DLC's release, so be sure to log onto Skyrim and grab the update before the DLC comes out later today. It should save you a lot of time from having to download both the update and the DLC at once—and the sooner you get it, the better.
