The previously reported upon Android based system on a stick has managed to reach its Kickstarter goal. The advertised most portable TV game console ever is officially happening.
The goal was $100,000; the end total was $647,658.
As a result, all of its stretch goals were met. As a result, each GameStick will not include a MicroSD card slot. which will increase the onboard memory for each unit by potentially 32GBs (the default is 8 GBs).
Plus, instead of just white, the GameStick will also come in black, red, and a color that has yet to be determined by the Facebook community.
Another addition is a dock for the GameStick, which increases the potential memory size even further (it will accept a 64GB card, meaning the overall total can be as high as 106GB), connectivity for various peripheral, wireless charging, and even more.
The GameStick is scheduled to arrive in April. If you didn't get a chance to contribute towards the Kickstarter, you'll simply have to pay the final retail price, which is expected to be $79.
