The folks at Irrational Games have unveiled a new trailer for BioShock Infinite just three days after the release of a documentary of the founding of Columbia.
The new trailer is narrated by the game's protagonist Booker DeWitt as he arrives in the skybound city of Columbia, and the trailer's done in the form of a classic film trailer, replete with bombastic Inception-like cutaways. Watch it below:
Set in 1912, the game takes place aboard the flying city of Columbia, "One Nation Over God"—it's called. "What is Columbia if not another ark, for another time?" asks DeWitt, as he marvels at the sights and sounds of the city.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of Father Comstock as he preaches to his devout in a theater, in a scene not unlike Apple's famous ad, '1984'.
DeWitt runs into Elizabeth and attempts to get her out of the city, when she discovers her ability to alter reality. Ripping a hole in space and time, we catch a glimpse of Paris and the Eiffel Tower through the rift. What ensues is an escape with Elizabeth and the destruction of Columbia.
BioShock Infinite is set for release on March 26 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
