Game Informer has a video from the team making Lego Marvel Super Heroes in which the assistant game director talks about level design for the game and demonstrates a level inside Stark Tower. The basement room shown is apparently not actually in Stark Tower in the films, but the team liked the room with its sports cars and gadgets so “couldn't not have it in the game”.
Apparently, “the first few times you play the game you'll play as Iron Man”, but then you'll go back to Stark Tower as Tony Stark to upgrade the suit. In the level shown, Stark is joined by Captain America and the Hulk. Stark can use his brains to hack into computers and control machinery. The Hulk's moves are fairly obvious, with lots of thumping the ground with his huge arms. Captain America relies on his shield for defence and to be thrown at switches; the team apparently considered giving him a gun but decided against it.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes looks like it's shaping up really well, with a glimpse of the outside of Stark Tower showing some impressive-looking scenery. You can tell the people making the game are really excited about what they're doing, and that contributes in a big way to their ability to produce high-quality titles time after time. We'll get to see if this next one lives up to that reputation when it comes out later this year.
