What's left of Infinity Ward is going to be receiving help from two other Activison studios with Modern Warfare 3. Despite Activison claiming Infinity Ward is doing fine since heads Vince Zampella and Jason West were ousted, conveniently not mentioning the dozen plus employees that followed them out in the following weeks. A report from the LA Times' Company Town blog says that both Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software have been tasked with helping develop Modern Warfare 3.
Sledgehammer Games makers of nothing as of yet, they were created in 2009 and were tasked with a Call of Duty spin-off title, will be helping Infinity Ward with the single player campaign. Meanwhile, Raven Software, makers of Wolfenstein (2009) and Singularity will be helping with the multiplayer. They are also working on the Black Ops DLC due this year.
Activison's response? "There's been much speculation recently. We look forward to releasing details for the next Call of Duty in the near future."

I think we take this one as given.
