The very first wave of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale DLC is arriving very soon, the PlayStation Blog tells us. Two characters will be swinging by, on February 12th.
First we have Kat, the breakout star from Gravity Rush, arguably one of the finest games thus far for the PlayStation Vita. She's apparently an up-close and personal melee combatant; the primary ace up her sleeve is the ability to manipulate gravity, much as see does in her aforementioned debut game.
Basically, her gift allows here to dash, slide, and fly all over the place, just like before. The Blog also notes: "Those who enjoy AP burst combos and varied mobility will definitely gravitate towards Kat."
As for the other new face, it's Emmett Graves from Starhawk. Again, he's carrying over his skills from that other game into All-Stars Battle Royale. Specifically his Build & Battle ability, which in this case means he can conjure up different structures that can aid in a fight.
A stark contrast to Kat, Emmett relies upon projectile-based attacks, via his default rifle and pistol, to keep opponents at bay. Plus he has additional weaponry at his disposal, includes a shotgun and rocket launcher loadouts.
Again, both with be available on February 12th and will be free for the first two weeks. After that, they become paid content.
