There’s been a ton of chatter around Game of Thrones and partly due to the fact that this HBO series recently ended the latest season this past Sunday. With fans of the show still going over theories and the latest developments online, there’s more buzz potentially to come.
A user on NeoGAF has alerted the world of a discovery while browsing the Target retail pages. It seems that the developer behind such behemoth hits such as Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series may be working on a Game of Thrones video game adaptation.
The web page which only states Bethesda along with the title Game of Thrones doesn’t offer anything in terms of what this potential video game release could be about. We’re unsure if this will be an adaptation of the novels, the television show, or potentially its own entity from the world and mythos.
After all, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen a hit Game of Thrones title take on a whole different story in comparison to the series. Telltale Games released an episodic title of Game of Thrones which followed House Forrester.
In the past, Target has accidentally released information or content out to the masses before their official announcement so while we have to take this web page as nothing more than a rumor, the fans and following behind Bethesda’s projects and Game of Thrones would make for an interesting partnership.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see if Bethesda makes any official comments on the matter. Either way, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on the very latest right here on Gameranx.
