.hack has been a popular franchise for years as it spanned from manga, video games, to anime. Thanks to a press release that was sent earlier today, we’re finding out that .hack//G.U. Last Recode has received a release date for America.
Alongside the announcement comes a new trailer showing off volume four of the game. While making note that for newcomers can enjoy the video game easily as there will be a new video within the game showcasing previous events to catch players up.
Regardless, the fourth volume within the video game has players taking on the role of Haseo who has long since given up on the popular MMORPG The World. However, one day he received an email which indicates that an old friend is in trouble and with the MMORPG coming to an end, our protagonist has little time to track down his friend for a quick rescue.
Outside of the announcement of a release date for the .hack//G.U. Last Recode video game, we’re also finding out that there will be a cheat mode which gives players access to max character stats in case they wish to go through the video game quickly.
Essentially, by using the cheat mode, players that are just interested in that narrative can do so without having to put much effort into the actual gameplay portions of the title.
Currently, .hack//G.U. Last Recode is slated to launch on November 3, 2017, for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. For now, take a look at the latest trailer for the game up above.
