Capcom has released two new gameplay trailers for DmC that showcases the game's combat in different ways.
In the first trailer, we see how the grading system in combat works and how to make it "stylish." As was the case with previous Devil May Cry games, how good you are means pulling of complex juggling maneuvers and varying it up instead of just slashing your way. Being graded high won't just make the combat look better, but it will also earn you more experience orbs; which will help in gaining more moves and abilities.
In the second vid, we see Dante's brother Vergil take the reins. I'm not sure if it's due to the white hair, but for some reason Vergil invokes a certain old-school Devil May Cry vibe. Not that it's a bad thing. Heck, I think I even prefer Vergil and his moves compared to Dante's more aerial-based attacks. Speaking of which, in the combat trailer, it seems Ninja Theory is putting juggling in the forefront of combat; more so than previous DMC games.
If you'd rather be playing DmC than watching it, the demo's already out on Xbox LIVE and on the PSN. So, what do you think of the reboot so far? Is Ninja Theory on the right track or should Capcom leave it in the hands of Japanese devs?
DmC is set to hit the PS3, Xbox 360 in January 6, 2013.
