Are you planning on attending PAX West this year? Sadly, tickets are already sold out, but if you managed to order them early the schedule has now gone live. In typical PAX fashion, there’ll be a bunch of panels, workshops, and of course, a solid line-up of playable games.
Destiny fans will be pleased to know that Luke Smith (who is currently working as director of upcoming MMO Destiny 2) is delivering the opening “Storytime” presentation. Smith has been working at Bungie since 2007, contributing to titles like Halo: Reach, Destiny, and The Taken King expansion. On Destiny 2, Smith has revealed that the open-beta was only a taste of the final game, and that progression was disabled—presumably to save the best for last. Bungie recently announced it was clamping down on crunch culture, which benefits employees and may bear fruit when Destiny 2 hits the shelves on September 6.
PAX West runs from September 1-4 at the Washington State Convention Centre. For anyone who can’t attend in person, the scheduled will be broadcasted through the official PAX West Twitch stream.
