In celebration of Mega Man's 25th year anniversary, Capcom has not only released Mega Man 1-6 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, now they're also bundling together a bunch of Mega Man games for the PS3, too.
Called the Mega Man 25th Anniversary Commemorative Campaign Pack, it will include the rearranged Rockman Works versions of Mega Man 1 to Mega Man 5, plus Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 in one bundle. For now, it's only available on Japan's PSN Store and is priced at 2,500 Yen or about $30 in U.S. currency. The special collection starts today (December 18) and will run until January 7 of next year.
So, why the odd bundling and not just put every Mega Man title in the collection? Mega Man 6 has been left out since it's not out on the PSN yet, and so is Mega Man 8. Hopefully, Capcom releases this digital bundle for the U.S. PSN Store so old-school players will have one heck of a deal for just $30.
For now, though, U.S. PS3 Mega Man fans can console themselves by playing Street Fighter X Mega Man on the PC for free. We will, of course, let you know once the digital bundle sees its way over in the West.
Are Mega Man games still relevant today or are people nowdays too preoccupied with FPS' and multiplayer games?
