While Black Ops 2 has been out for just a month now, it's not that unusual to see level 10 Prestige players running around in multiplayer. Of course, there's the chance these "Prestige Masters" used the theatre hack to gain it quickly, but I don't doubt that there are those who earned theirs legitimately.
For those uninformed, Black Ops 2's Prestige Master unlocks all of the game's weapons, perks. equipment, etc. and also gives you the last badass skull emblem to make sure you're feared whenever you enter a lobby…or so it seems.
Reddit user kercmerk uncovered four new emblems in Call of Duty Elite and they might just be extra Prestige emblems for the uber-Prestige Masters. To see what they are, we've linked the image below.
You can also check out kercmerk's Call of Duty Elite page to see the next emblem he's supposed to get behind the current emblem he has (which is Prestige 10).
Before you say it, yes, I know some of the alleged extra emblems are from Black Ops 1. But to be fair, Treyarch did re-use some of Black Ops 1's emblems for Black Ops 2, right?
For now, we're left in the dark as to what this really means. Is it a bug in Call of Duty Elite? Maybe Treyarch will be offering new Prestige levels in Black Ops 2's map packs? Chances are, this is most likely an error. I mean, there's a reason Treyarch calls them "Prestige Master" and seeing as reaching that unlockes everything, what can players get in return for going to Prestige 11 and above?
Would you want additional Prestige levels in Black Ops 2 or is Prestige 10 enough for you? While more levels are almost always welcomed by multiplayer fans, I'm guessing some people might not gun for that Prestige 10 emblem if they know it's not the "ultimate" one. If so, which camp are you on?
