Sony has announced its latest update for the EU PlayStation Store – to go live today – and it's a pretty noteworthy one, especially as far as classic titles are concerned.
Headlining the announcement, obviously, is the appearance of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, originally released on the PlayStation 2 and now available for you to play on your PS3 for £11.99/€14.99.
But possibly even more exciting for me is the news that all of the first three Spyro games, those developed for the original PlayStation by Insomniac Games before they handed over the reins, are finally available too. You can buy Spyro the Dragon, Spyro: Gateway to Glimmer, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon for £3.99/€4.99 each, or you can get all three as a trilogy for £7.99/€9.99.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night rounds off the collection of classic titles, making this a pretty good week for nostalgia.
Aside from that, the big news this week is that you can now buy PlayStation content through a new webstore rather than having to visit the PS Store on your console. As long as you have a PSN account and enough money in your wallet, you can buy content in your browser and it'll be available to download the next time you turn on the relevant console.
