The “Humble THQ Bundle”, which launched with seven games from THQ but recently added more, has now ended. THQ has managed to sell 885,286 of this bundle of games, with a grand total of $5,097,454.84. While some of that money will go to the Humble Bundle site and some will go to the Child's Play Charity, THQ must be pretty happy to see those figures given its recent financial struggles. The success of the bundle has also seen the company's stock rise by nearly 40%, which is bound to be good news.
The average price paid for the bundle was a low $5.76, despite the fact that it will have been boosted by people trying to pay just over the current average to secure copies of Warhammer 40,000, Saints Row: The Third, and Titan Quest. But some have chosen to pay far more than that. The highest contributor was the president of THQ himself, Jason Rubin, who chipped in $10,000. Wargaming.net handed over a round $1,600.48, and even the lowest of the top ten contributors paid $1,050.
If you've somehow missed out on the Humble THQ Bundle, you can still get one THQ game – Metro 2033 (on PC) – for free by liking it on Facebook.
