Activsion has announced that Black Ops 2 will be getting its second Double XP weekend starting this Friday and it will even give you the chance to play with Treyarch…if you play on the Xbox 360.
To clarify things a bit, the Double XP weekend is for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Not sure about the Wii U yet, but we'll confirm it with Activision just to be sure. However, the "Game with Devs" session + YouTube live-stream are exclusive for Xbox 360 users, which should be expected given Microsoft's timed-exclusivity contract with the publisher.
Activision and Treyarch will disclose details on how to enter the "Game with Devs" session at a later date. So check back on the site before Friday and we'll hopefully have the details then.
The Double XP weekend will start on Friday, December 14 at 10 a.m. PST and will last until December 17 at 10 a.m. PST. So, in effect, you have about three days' worth of double XP to latch on to.
In addition to the weekend event, Activision has also released the official trailer for Nuketown Zombies. For the moment, the DLC is only available for Xbox 360 Season Pass holders and for those who bought special editions of the games.
So, if you like the Nuketown map and zombies, I suggest giving the trailer a watch now.
Not only are you wearing hazmat (hazardous material) suit, but the zombies are, too. Unfortunately, hazmat suit or not, I doubt it will satiate the zombie's need for flesh and they're coming after you. Nuketown's small and chaotic map should make this zombie encounter just a little bit more intense, no?
Which one will you be playing this weekend Nuketown Zombies or gunning for that Double XP in your quest to reach Prestige 10? Out of curiosity, has any of you reached Prestige 10 legitimately? If so, do people back out when they meet you in pre-game lobbies?
