Double Fine Productions are quite the busy bunch. This year alone they sent tidal waves across every corner of the game development ocean, with their historical success on Kickstarter, plus they also just opened the doors wide open as it pertains to their internal game jam.
And as 2012 comes to a close, Tim Schaffer and company has one other ace up their sleeves. One called Kinect Party:
Schaffer has long been the Xbox 360 add-on's highest profile advocate. Some might wager that he's its only friend these days, and the only one who is actually maximizing its potential. Whereas most others have failed to do anything truly noteworthy for the device, let alone exhibit even an ounce of enthusiasm.
Kinect Party is the sequel to Double Fine Happy Action Theater, which was released earlier this year. The latest installment shares much with its predecessor; it too will provide 18 different modes that each taps into the capabilities of the Kinect, with the end result being a software suite that's fun for the whole family.
Though one new feature is the ability to put on virtual costumes, includes ones based upon Minecraft. Those of you have a Kinect, and especially children, will definitely want to download Kinect Party once it becomes available.
