EA has released a new trailer for Visceral Games' Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel and it includes what you expect from trailers of shooters these days. There's lots of explosions, lots of bullets flying about and lots of swearing.
However, in keeping line with Army of Two's heritage, the trailer is not all that serious when showing the "Dudebro" combo of Alpha and Bravo shooting things up. Be warned though, there is swearing in the trailer and some of the scenes are quite NSFW. Particularly, the part where they stab someone in the face and then stab him in the throat for good measure.
Seeing as Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel will be released in March, that means Visceral will have two "big" games in two months with Dead Space 3 scheduled to ship in February. Not even mentioning the fact that The Devil's Cartel is being built on DICE's Frostbite 2, can Visceral pull it off?
Even if they can, The Devil's Cartel has to contend with EA's Crytek and Dead Space 3 releasing in February, and also with Irrational Games' BioShock Infinite scheduled for retail in the same month. In short, Visceral has their work cut out for them, no?
Are you curious how an Army of Two game will play on Frostbite 2 or are you worried that the game will be buried with the other big games releasing in the same timeframe?
Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is scheduled to ship on March 28, 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
