Deep Silver has released a new trailer for their upcoming game, Sacred Citadel, a side-scrolling beat-em-up not unlike the classic Double Dragon and Golden Axe games.

The newest trailer reveals details of the second character to feature in Sacred Citadel, the Khukuri Shaman. She's described as a "tenacious tactical debuff dealer". The trailer comes with a little bit of in-game fiction to describe how she performs in combat:

"Fierce Grimmoc warriors have almost brought the companions to their knees. The Safiri Warrior is overwhelmed by the sheer number of onrushing  fighters, and his health is rapidly decreasing. In comes the Khukuri Shaman – quickly, she casts a spell to heal her party members. To counter the overpowering Grimmoc horde, she then rushes into battle to deal out crackling energy bolts with her magic wand."

The Khukuri Shaman is the second of four planned character classes for the upcoming game. Unlike the Safiri Warrior, which was the first character to be revealed, the Khukuri Shaman hangs back, behind her allies, to deal death from a distance. She can cast spells to buff and heal her allies and curse her opponents to make them explode. She lends an important tactical element to the game.

Sacred Citadel comes out early next year on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
