HyperX, a manufacturer of high-performance gaming products and accessories, has sent over a new press release earlier today officially unveiling two upcoming mechanical keyboards. The two newly announced mechanical keyboards are the Allow Elite and the Alloy FPS Pro, the latter being aimed towards eSports and casual gamers in-mind, though it’s worth noting that both mechanical keyboard will be featuring Cherry MX switches.
Starting off with the Alloy Elite mechanical keyboard, HyperX has tossed in the normal RGB elements we’ve come to see as a standard for gaming peripherals as of late. The Alloy Elite will have red LED backlighting with a total of six preset LED lighting effects, which best of all, will not require any software to cycle through.
Furthermore, with the Alloy Elite, gamers will have a detachable palm rest to pop on right out of the box. Some of the extra little features you’ll find with the Alloy Elite is a section of dedicated media keys along with a wheel to adjust the volume on your PC. Likewise, there is the added benefit or a USB 2.0 passthrough.
Moving on we have the Alloy FPS Pro which loses out on a number of the extra bells and whistles from the Alloy Elite. Instead, the Alloy FPS Pro is geared towards gaming and portability. This is a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard and while you will still have the Cherry MX switches and red backlight keys, players won’t find a dedicated section of media keys, a volume wheel along with the loss of a detachable palm rest. With that said, there is still the USB 2.0 passthrough available which is certainly a bonus for this keyboard.
Currently, both HyperX’s mechanical keyboards, the Alloy Elite and Alloy FPS Pro will be available on August 21, 2017. The Alloy Elite will be marked at $109.99 while the Alloy FPS Pro can be picked up for $79.99. You can find more information on both these mechanical keyboards from visiting the official HyperX website.
