Following on from the announcement last month that Kat (from Gravity Rush) and Emmett (from Starhawk) are to be made available as playable characters for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale in the first piece of downloadable content for the game, Sony has released a lot more information on the pair.
Kat's moves will mainly draw from the gravity manipulation that was so important in Gravity Rush. As such, she won't double jump but use a Gravity Dash instead, a sort of mini flight that can be aimed in one of eight directions. When it comes to attacking, Kat can create gravity wells to draw rivals in for close-quarters combat.
As for Emmett, SuperBot has implemented Build & Battle moves that reflect the Build & Battle system in Starhawk. Emmett will be able to call down one of two bunkers and change his weapon loudout, switching to a rocket launcher or grenade launcher, or replenishing on shotgun ammunition and mines.
More information is also given on the new level that will be included in the DLC, which developers have nicknamed Fearless. Sticking to the precedent set by the levels included in the game, Fearless is a bizarre mash up, this time of Heavenly Sword and WipeOut.
No official date has been given for the DLC, but when it does launch it'll be free to download for two weeks. Are you tempted?
