IO Interactive and Square Enix have released a new DLC for the studio's latest game, Hitman Absolution. The new DLC sees the inclusion of a new disguise that allows Agent 47 to dress up as Deus Ex's protagonist Adam Jensen in the game's Contracts Mode.
In addition to wearing Adam Jensen's iconic combat armor, the DLC also includes a new handgun called the Zenith, which is based on the futuristic handgun in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
Hitman Absolution is the latest Square Enix-published title to feature Deus Ex items, after Sleeping Dogs.
A trailer for the new items has been released, which you can see below.
While I'm personally more than happy to see the inclusion of the new Deus Ex-themed items in Hitman Absolution, a few fans are up in arms over the DLC, calling it "too unrealistic"—as if carrying a sniper rifle, an assault rifle, and a myriad of other arms and equipment in his suit as he normally does is in any way realistic.
As I see it, if you don't like the content, no one's forcing you to buy it—so why all the fuss? It's not as if the developers are forcing you to use it throughout the game's campaign.
Both the "Deus Ex Suit" and the "Deus Ex Zenith Gun" are available as downloadable add-ons for 80 MS Points on the Xbox 360 or $1 each on Steam and the PlayStation Network.
