Publisher Daedalic announced that feudal Japanese stealth title Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A report on 4gamer suggests that it will launch July 28 for Europe and August 1 for American audiences, expanding the game’s audience and potential fan base.
Since its launch last December, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun has amassed an overwhelmingly positive reception. Likened to tactical classics Commandos and Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, it enraptured players with hardcore stealth gameplay wrapped in layers of Japanese history. Through controlling five different characters from all walks of life, each mission presents a unique opportunity to coordinate special abilities in a quiet, often lethal fashion. Gameranx thought Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun was a brilliant and engrossing stealth experience.
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is out now for $29.99 USD as part of Steam’s Summer Sale. Alternatively, interested folks can pick it up through GOG or Amazon. If you’re not ready to splurge but want to try it out, there’s a demo.
