After months of rumors and leaks, Activision has finally announced that Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered will be receiving its own standalone release starting next week.
Starting on Tuesday, June 27 PS4 users will be able to pick up the long-awaited standalone title, Modern Warfare Remastered for $39.99. The game will launch for the Xbox One and PC, however, no specific release date was announced.

Last year, Activision announced that the only way people could play Modern Warfare Remastered was to buy the legacy edition of Infinitive Warfare, the latest installment in the franchise. This led to a lot of gamers being mad at the developers, but as fans expected, a standalone release for the game would eventually come.
