While Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will be coming out in Spring 2013, that launch window has only been given for versions on the PS3 and Xbox 360. In fact, Rockstar has not been able to confirm a PC version at all, which is making a lot of PC gamers very worried. One of those gamers, Mike Julliard, has responded by starting a petition on Change.org, which is almost halfway to its 100,000 signature goal and begs Rockstar to release the game for PC:
Please release GTA V on PC. GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives and it's a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have.
I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it'll make many people very happy!
When asked about versions of the game other than those for PS3 and Xbox 360, Rockstar VP Dan Houser said all he could say was that they were “up for consideration”. A statement from Rockstar also mentioned PC specifically, saying that the team didn't “have any details to share about a PC version at this time”. It doesn't look good for PC owners, but if you want to try getting Rockstar's attention then head over to Change.org and sign.
