Rumor: Nintendo 3DS to Drop Price to $140

November 26, 2012 by Alex Co

Nintendo is set to drop the price of the 3DS! Read on for details…

Even if Nintendo's 3DS is selling like hotcakes, Nintendo will still allegedly drop its price according to a rumor posted on CAG

Currently, the price of a Nintendo 3DS is at $169.99, but in about "two weeks," it will be lowered by more than 10% to make it 149.99. If that's not enough of a deal for you to jump the gun, retail chain Target is even taking it a step further by offering the 3DS at $129.99 by next week according to a NeoGAF user who has seen the ad.

Finally, if you prefer a larger screen, Nintendo will also package Mario Kart 7 with a blue Nintendo 3DS XL for $199.99 also starting next week. You can see the leaked packaging below.

Not bad, no? While the prices listed haven't been confirmed in anyway, they're most likely true as CAG has been privy to such info before. At least now, you won't have a reason not to get a 3DS, right?

So for those in the U.S. who still does not have a 3DS, you might want to wait a week or two to get the best value out of your money. Just thank us after you've purchase it, alright?

Thanks, Gematsu
