Ubisoft has just put out a new video of its upcoming title, Far Cry 3, to showcase the game's powerful in-game map editor.
Through the editor, players will be able to create their very own tropical oasis, or a jungle death trap, or anything else they can possibly imagine for Far Cry 3. The map editor is set to come with a "deep and varied" library of set pieces allowing for players to assemble pre-fabricated areas without having to put together environments from scratch—if they so choose.
The map editor allows you to tweak everything from the flora and fauna to the derelict tanker crashed up on a rocky beach, as seen in the game's trailers. You'll be able to put together ship salvage yards or pirate shanty towns with the editor and build your own setpiece locations to share with other players in the community.
The editor will allow you to download and rate maps created by other players.
Needless to say, there's a lot that you'll be able to do with Far Cry 3's map editor, making it a game well worth getting—especially if you're into creative tinkering.
Far Cry 3 will be releasing in North America for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on December 4, 2012.
