Surprising no one, Call of Duty: Black Ops II has remained at the top of the UK charts according to UKIE, in its second week since it launched. In fact, its second week sales are 15% up on those of Modern Warfare 3, with only an 81% drop (from first week sales) compared to Modern Warfare 3's 87%. And even despite that 81% drop in sales, Black Ops II has still managed to sell better than Hitman Absolution, a new entry to the charts.
The rest of the top ten makes for a fairly predictable list, with Fifa 13 staying comfortable in third position (with a 2% increase in sales proving that it isn't going anywhere soon), followed by Assassin's Creed III and Halo 4 (whose sales dropped by 26%, presumably because a large proportion of its buyers had been waiting for it for years and picked it up on launch).
Some new entries only just made the cut for this top 40 chart, including Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two at number 34, Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse at number 35, and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale way down there at number 38, a disappointing result for what Sony presumably hoped would become its equivalent to Smash Bros.
