This year’s E3 Sony keynote presentation isn’t underway just yet, but that hasn’t stopped the company from tweeting out Knack 2’s release date. The sequel to 2013 beat ’em up Knack was first announced last year at PlayStation Experience, and brought with it a new co-op mode that promises to be a major component of gameplay.
At its core, Knack 2 includes familiar action platforming and will feature a skill tree, which allows players to upgrade abilities by using relic energy within various levels.
Knack 2 is slated for release on September 5 on PlayStation 4, and will set you back $39.99 USD. Pre-orders are available now for interested players. Compared to Knack, which launched with a $60USD price tag, players will be getting a bit of a discount. You can watch the rest of Sony’s E3 livestream from here.
Gameranx reviewed Knack shortly after it released and we thought it was a decent enough game.
