While the Wii U has been out for just a few days in the U.S., it's still too early to tell if it will achieve the same success as the original Wii did back when it was released.
Count 2K Games president Christoph Hartmann out of the list of doubters. In an interview with MCV, Hartmann states that Nintendo always "impresses" and "amazes" him. He adds that with the company having so much knowledge built up over the years, it always finds its crowd.
Not only that, Hartmann expresses that he has not a "single doubt" that the Wii U will be successful.
There have been people doubting the Wii U because they don’t really understand it. I wasn’t sure about the Wii and I was proved wrong, proved wrong by my own people, which I like the most because we sold a lot of Carnival Games. I believe the Wii U offers something special and we will be surprised how consumers will get attached…There’s nothing in my body, not a single piece, doubting that the Wii U will be successful.
So does this mean 2K's games will make an appearance on the Wii U? We won't know for sure until they make an official announcement, but this is a good start, no?
Do you agree with Hartmann's statement or will Nintendo's "luck" run out when Sony and Microsoft releases their next-gen consoles?
