The wait is almost over; The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia is due very soon. Only about two months away, according to it's Amazon listing. And given that the holiday shopping season is upon us, its publisher figured that it would be a good idea to release a trailer. While it won't be make it out for Christmas, pre-ordering it is definitely a gift idea.
For those who aren't familiar, Hyrule Historia was originally published in Japan last year, as part of the Nintendo's 25th anniversary celebration of the franchise. It presents an exhaustive behind the scenes look at all the games, including profiles on the key creative minds behind them.
Though the one thing that led to the majority of the excitement that surrounded the tome was how it offered a definitive, authoritative Zelda timeline, which had been a hot topic among Zelda fanatics for many years. This in tern led to numerous initiatives among that community to translate the contents themselves.
Then, almost out of the blue, Dark Horse Comics announced that they would localize and publish the book for English reading audiences. Best part is how they enlisted the services of the one person who had been doing the best job of translating the book on her own time. With the icing on the cake being the recently revealed cover for the hardcover edition, which pretty much everyone loves unanimously:
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia is due January 29, 2013.
