Like clockwork, Team Meat (i.e. Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes, who developed the incredibly popular Super Meat Boy and starred in the recent documentary Indie Game: The Movie) has released another teaser image for upcoming game Mew-Genics.
This image shows Tracy, along with the caption, “She likes cats… but isn't a big fan of you.” True to her cat-loving nature, she seems to be based in either a vet practice or animal shelter, with a just-visible motivational poster on the wall behind her that reads “hang in there”. Tracy herself wears a badge with the female symbol on it, so I'm hoping this angry-looking lady is not some kind of straw feminist, particularly with her hair tied up in the same kind of headscarf – down to the spots – as the lady in that iconic feminist image. Obviously, we have no idea what kind of game this even is, but character design choices are made for a reason.
Tracy is the fourth of the five silhouettes – after Mr. Tinkles, Dr. Beanies, and Frank – behind the two-headed cat that sits in the forefront of the original teaser image, so odds are next week we'll get to see the final of these. Any ideas as to what it could be, or is the cast so far too bizarre to even hazard a guess?
