Sony Bend is once again working on a PS Vita game. The studio, most notably known for their fantastic work on the Syphon Filter franchise for the PSP, has since moved on to develop Nathan Drake's first adventure on Sony's next-gen handheld, Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
According to a job listing on Gamasutra, the studio is looking for a senior staff technical animator and they've listed the job description, too, which you can see below.
Bend Studio the creators of Sony's flagship Vita title Uncharted Golden Abyss is currently looking for the entertainment industries top artistic talent to help us create AAA content for Sony's powerful new hardware. We just scratched the surface on what the Vita can do with Uncharted Golden Abyss and expect to push the platform even further with our future projects. Candidates must be passionate about their work and thrive in small-team environments where everyone inspires and pushes everyone else to create great games.
Could this be a PS Vita Syphon Filter game? One could hope, no? But if I were to guess, I'd say this might be a sequel to Uncharted: Golden Abyss; which, to be honest, might be the PS Vita's best Triple A game thus far.
Although, most people don't know that Sony Bend also made Resistance: Retribution for the PSP. Might they be working on a proper Resistance game for the Vita after Nihilistic fumbled the ball with their version?
Speculate away, but if you've played any of Bend's Syphon Filter games on the PSP, I'd doubt you'd have any problems if it starred Gabe Logan instead of Nathan Drake.
