Rockstar Games has taken to their blog to announce that the highly anticipated outlaw epic, Red Dead Redemption 2, has been delayed to Spring of 2018.
The title was set to release on both PS4 and Xbox One later this Fall, however, it seems that Rockstar Games needed more time with the game. In the post, they state that since this is their first game “created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware”, they needed extra time to work on it and make it the best experience possible.
We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.
This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.
The upcoming title is said to be an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, offering a vast and atmospheric world that will also provide the “foundation of a brand new online experience.”
In addition, Rockstar left fans with some new images to feast their eyes on. There are seven total new pictures down below that show off various things – dual-wielding guns, a little town, trains, and much more. Check it out down below:
