Major PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Gunplay Targeting Issue Fixed

May 22, 2017 by Andrew Boyd

Update release targeted for Thursday, May 25th.

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS has done its community well by releasing regular patches. The next patch, however, due out this Thursday on May 25th is probably its most important yet. One of the biggest complaints about the game has been the bullet lead and general inaccuracy of its weapons caused both by server lag and the engine used. Luckily, the developers knew just how important this was to their community and they released a video early this morning highlighting a major change to the gunplay targeting issue.

The video showed a highlight of the player missing several shots despite perfect accuracy, showing a wide spray pattern with jerking movements on the reticle. Then it showed endless headshots. In this case, a picture was worth a thousand words: fixing this issue will go a long way for the millions of players who have quickly adopted the early access title as their own personal Battle Royale.
