DmC Performance Capture Diaries Episode One Released by Capcom

November 12, 2012 by Alex Co

Capcom has released a new developer diary for DmC that shows the actor behind Mundus and Lilith…

We just posted a four-minute look at DmC's Honest Truths stage but the DmC info for the day is not done yet. Capcom has also released the first episode of its Performance Capture Diaries.

This video shows us the actor and actress behind Mundus and his mistress, Lilith. See how the motion-capture work is done and how each character is seen by the people behind the videogame faces.

Interesting to note that the Los Angeles studio where DmC is shot is the same studio James Cameron used for Avatar. So Capcom is sparing no expense in funding this Devil May Cry reboot.

Funnily enough, the most interesting bit about the trailer (for me, at least) is the last few seconds where the actress portraying Lilith speaks the line "do as we say" and it's repeated numerous times before the "pre-order now" bit comes on screen. Capcom doing a bit of hypnotizing or just a funny tongue-in-cheek moment?

Western studio Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword) is developing DmC for Capcom and a demo of the game will be out on November 21 for the PS3 and Xbox 360; while the full game will ship to retail on January 15, 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Could DmC be the first big game of 2013? More importantly, can it make up for Resident Evil 6's lackluster performance?

Thanks, Siliconera
