Gearbox revealed on its Twitter account yesterday that Borderlands 2 will be coming to Mac on November 20th:
Surprise! Borderlands 2 is coming to Mac on November 20: http://bit.ly/RIiz8O
As a Mac owner, I'm always happy when developers acknowledge that players exist who might want to run their games on one. And as of writing this the tweet has been retweeted 400 times and favourited another 100, so I'm obviously not the only one who feels that way.
The link in the tweet leads to GameAgent, a site for Mac gamers, where more details on the upcoming game can be found. Borderlands 2 will be brought to Mac by Aspyr Media, which “prides itself on binging the best in gaming to the Mac audience”. The game will become available on Steam on November 20th, for $59.99, and on the Mac App Store “later this year”. There will also be a boxed version available before Christmas.
An FAQ also tells us that the Mac version will have all existing and future DLC available (you can get access to the Mechromancer by preordering through the GameAgent site), and that multiplayer will be available Mac-to-Mac as well as Mac-to-PC. If you want to know if Borderlands 2 will run on your Mac, you can check through the GameAgent site.
