Mass Effect 3 Operation: Blast Furnace Announced by BioWare

November 8, 2012 by Alex Co

BioWare has a new multiplayer challenge in store for Mass Effect 3 multiplayer fans for the weekend! Read on for details.

Following BioWare's N7 Day multiplayer challenge for Mass Effect 3's multiplayer, the studio has announced a new multiplayer challenge for the weekend.

This one, called Operation: Blast Furnace, will start on November 9 and will end on November 11. So what dastardly multiplayer criteria must be met this time in order for players to net some in-game gear? Honestly, this might be one of the easiest ones BioWare has released yet.

Players must earn 75000 points of damage using fire-based powers (Incinerate, Carnage, Inferno Grenade, Flamer, Sentry Turret Flamethrower, Geth Turret Flamethrower) on any map at any difficulty. Points are cumulative across matches and Extraction isn't even required. Easy, no?

Seeing as the challenge isn't that, well, challenging. BioWare will only be offering Commendation Packs as a reward for participants. Nope, no Victory Pack of any kind whatsoever.

For those who want an easy Commendation Pack, I suggest hopping in a game once the challenge's started and just spam those fire powers like crazy. Also, don't forget to turn on your player feedback in the multiplayer options menu to make sure you get included in the challlenge.
