Gamers Discover Ways To Expand Prey Demo Play Area

May 2, 2017 by Dennis Patrick

Check out how you can explore more of Prey.

Bethesda and Arkane Studios has recently launched their demo for the upcoming Prey video game title. While gamers are given the opportunity to try out some of the upcoming sci-fi horror title to hold them over until the full video game is released, some have found a means to expand the limited play area.

The Prey demo in itself offers gamers the first hour of gameplay, essentially showcasing some of the storyline that could entice players to purchase the video game when it officially launches. However, some gamers have been pretty clever when it comes to going beyond the limited play area.

It seems that the developers over at Arkane have developed levels in a means that gamers can freely roam and make up ways to progress through them. This is evident in some of the play area in the demo where gamers have managed to unlock doors through a means of careful precise aiming.

Take for instance a Reddit user, Karma_Kurva, who had found a way to use a crossbow and Gloo Gun to ricochet a bullet in order to press a switch that unlocks a door. You can see the technique play out within the gif above.

However, other gamers have managed to find a glitch that will allow them to reach areas. Twitch streamer, hdyeg35, had demonstrated a glitch that uses the Gloo Gun and an elevator shaft. That video can be watched below where the glitch demonstrated starts at about two hours and fifty minutes in.

Currently, Prey is set to launch on May 5, 2017, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
